III. National Salon of Fine Arts
The exhibition for the third time in the series of the National Salons organized annually by Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle) is presenting the most important efforts and works of Hungarian fine art from home and abroad over the past five years. At the ceremonial opening on 22 May at Műcsarnok, an institution of HAA, Attila Turi, President of HAA gave the welcome speech, and the exhibition was opened by artist József Szurcsik, a regular member of HAA. The event was also attended by Gábor Richly, Secretary General of HAA, and artist Péter Stefanovits, Chair of the Fine Arts Section of HAA.

Cantemus Children's Choir won two first places and a special award in Italy
The Gorizia International Choir Competition is no stranger to the several choirs of the Cantemus Choir of Nyíregyháza, as they have already returned home from the Italian city with a lot of great results under the leadership of Kossuth State Awarsd winning conductor Dénes Szabó, regular member of HAA.

Retrospective Exhibition of Teréz Schmidt and András Galánfi
A retrospective exhibition entitled Skies Photographed onto Each Other opened at Vigadó, the centre of HAA presenting the lifework of Teréz Schmidt, a textile artist, recipient of the Tree of Life Award, weaving instructor, carpet weaver and loom operator, master of folk art as well as that of András Galánfi, Kossuth State Award winning woodcarver industrial artist, master of folk art, performing artist, sculptor, regular member of HAA and honorary citizen of Hajdúszoboszló.

András Szunyoghy's exhibition at Műcsarnok
With his decades of work graphic artist András Szunyoghy has become a unique and recognized figure in Hungarian and international visual culture. His exhibition entitled Anatomy, which opened at Műcsarnok (Kunsthalle) on 10 July, provides a comprehensive overview of his diverse career, showing his expertise in copper and linocut techniques, his works based on the anatomical depiction of the human and animal body, and the educational aids and drawings that are an integral part of his teaching and publishing activities.
The exhibition can be viewed until 19 October.

Lower Austrian Fine Arts Exhibition at Vigadó
A joint exhibition of HAA and the Lower Austrian Government Office opened at Vigadó, the centre of HAA, entitled The Glory of Beauty. The exhibition, which can be visited in the exhibition space on the 5th floor until 24 August, is featuring large-scale works by four Lower Austrian artists – Eduard Angeli, Franziska Maderthaner, Rudolf Leitner-Gründberg and Johann Berger. The exhibition is curated by Carl Aigner and co-organized by HAA. The exhibition was opened by Zoltán Rátóti, Vice-President of HAA on 27 June, and the ceremonial event was attended by Attila Turi, President of HAA, among others.
